Our Mission
The College Scoop is a non-profit with several aims:
1. encourage students from all backgrounds to apply to college
2. provide resources and mentorship throughout the transition from high school to college
3. support students' mental, physical, and emotional well-being as they navigate college life
What We Do
We leverage a network of university students from across the country who are excited to talk with high school and first-year college students.
We collaborate with movers, shakers, and policy makers at universities to enact real, lasting change.
We keep our passion for helping students at the forefront of everything we do.

How We Do It
01
MATCH STUDENTS TO COLLEGE MENTORS
Each mentor receives 2-5 mentees to chat with, and schedule an initial phone call. The relationship then continues from there!
We are always looking for more mentors from universities throughout the US, whom we then match to high school and 1st-year students.

Who We Are

Founder Savannah Page is a fourth-year student at UVA who is passionate about empowering others to live their best version of life. She feels that choosing the right college is a massive decision, and one that should be made with all of the information available. Unfortunately, the process of college admissions and later adjusting to college isn't entirely equitable.
Savannah founded The College Scoop in order to provide students with as much information as possible to bridge the gap and increase the equitability of the college decision-making process. She also hopes to help shape students' first year at their university in the best way possible by providing resources and mentorship along the way.
When she's not researching organizational crisis response strategies or designing Qualtrics surveys, Savannah enjoys singing, writing, and photography!
